Program Manager (Remote)

Job Type: Full Time
Experience Level: Mid-Level
Salary: USD $55,000 – $75,000 / year. Commensurate to experience.

Worried about the world? We are, too! We are a small but mighty team, tapping into our superpowers to meet the challenges of an increasingly lonely, disconnected, and unhealthy society. To do that, we need a savvy, driven, and entrepreneurial Program Manager. The Foundation for Art & Healing (FAH) develops innovative, creative expression-based programs that alleviate urgent personal and public health issues. We’re best known for our signature initiative, Project UnLonely. Project UnLonely is a recognized and respected name in fighting the global crisis of loneliness. The Project UnLonely portfolio includes programs that raise awareness, reduce stigma, and offer easily deployed and scalable solutions for community-based organizations, employers, colleges and universities, health systems, and insurers.

We have a lot going for us. With the successful launch of our Founder and President, Dr. Jeremy Nobel’s highly praised book, a tested portfolio of compelling programs that are ready to scale, and increasingly recognized as thought leaders in the emerging field of loneliness, we are effecting profound change.

We are looking for a talented and energetic Program Manager to grow with our team. You will be hands-on in the ideation, implementation, and evaluation of our diverse portfolio of programs. This is a position best suited for an “ambidextrous” type – someone who is both a disciplined project manager and also an empathic, creative thinker. After all, we create programs that use the power of creative expression as a path to connection, health, and wellness – we need someone who can help create arts-based programs that engage, inspire, empower, and connect participants.

We’re a close-knit team, but you’ll be working remotely.

You’ll report directly to the Senior Director of Programs and work in close harmony with our entire team. Here’s more detail on what you’ll bring:

The Program Manager is a critical member of the Programs Team and plays a central role in the successful development, management, and delivery of all FAH programs. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working in two equally important modes: traditional project management and creative engagement, both of which align with this role to enable a powerful innovative approach to individual and community health.

With regard to project management, the position requires close collaborative work with the organization’s internal team, external content development experts, and a diverse group of community clients. The Program Manager takes ownership of and drives strategic program delivery partnerships, tracks program deliverables and outcomes, ensures excellent program outcomes, maintains high client satisfaction, and meets contractual obligations. They will also contribute to the advancement of the overall goals of the organization by identifying opportunities to increase client reach and impact.
With regard to creative engagement, the position requires an individual with deep empathy, creative ideas, and problem solving skills. The Program Manager must be a flexible thinker who can generate dynamic solutions that will – ultimately – inspire, engage, empower, and connect program participants.

The Program Manager works specifically on projects related to younger adults (Campus UnLonely), older adults (Aging UnLonely), workplace populations (Workplace UnLonely), and other populations as opportunities develop. The Program Manager also supports educational campaigns like Project UnLonely Films, our Direct-to-Consumer activities web page, and more.
The Program Manager reports to the Senior Director of Programs and works collaboratively with all team members.
